This three-module Business Grammar Program from The Writing Center includes: Module 1-Punctuation Module 2-Spelling and Usage Module 3-Grammar and Sentence Structure In Module 1-Punctuation, you review essential rules for correct use of apostrophes, colons, commas, hyphens, italics, parentheses, periods, quotation marks, and semicolons. You also review conventions for plurals and possessives. You can print a Punctuation Style Sheet for ongoing reference. In Module 2-Spelling and Usage, you learn tips for using spelling checkers effectively and for remembering the difference between commonly confused words such as affect and effect. You also review conventions for capitalization and numbers. In Module 3-Grammar and Sentence Structure, you learn how to recognize and correct such common grammar errors as lack of subject-verb agreement and faulty pronoun use (for example, using I, me, and myself incorrectly). You learn how to recognize and correct such sentence structure errors as fragments, run-on sentences and lack of parallel structure. You also review Eight Proofreading Tips and receive printable reference documents including a Grammar Terms Glossary, an Irregular and Troublesome Verbs List, and a Business Grammar Program Proofreading Checklist.
