Don't Just Survive-THRIVE! The Power of Human Systems Dynamics

The turbulent times we live in demand innovation and action. People who take adaptive action can thrive in times of uncertainty. When you understand the complex dynamics of chaotic change, you do more than merely survive. You grasp opportunities to thrive in uncertainty while others waste resources fighting for control and stability. Join us for two, one-hour webinars that will introduce you to the powerful world of human systems dynamics, where concepts from nature inform action in organizations.

Using practical examples and real-world stories, you will:
  • Recognize turbulent change for what it is-emergent opportunity
  • Learn about "adaptive action" and assess your own capacity for it
  • Identify actions you can take to thrive, to respond to even your most difficult issues
  • Explore resources to support your continuing learning and development
Session 1: See and Influence Patterns

Any single change paradigm is too narrow to inform action in turbulent times. This session introduces three different ways to think about change. You will assess your capacity to respond effectively regardless of the circumstances. As you focus on your most difficult issue, you will learn ways to recognize and respond adaptively to each kind of change.

Session 2: Thriving on the Journey of Change

HSD Institute is a laboratory for adaptive action. This webinar series tells the real-world story about the challenges and opportunities of working in a virtual, emergent, networked organization. Using HSD Institute's simple rules, you'll see a real-life example about the ways in which individuals and organizations thrive when they see and influence the complex dynamics of change.
