Making it Work at Work: Consulting the HSD Way
|
|
This program includes all on-demand recorded archives and related electronic resources, available for access any time.
Join the 2010 Advanced Cohort Series with Glenda Eoyang for an in-depth exploration on consulting the HSD way.
In this series, engage with Glenda around how HSD informs her consulting practice. From initial marketing through final closure with the client, talk with Glenda about how she uses HSD principles, tools, and models to “sell” her services, assess need, provide support, and exit gracefully. Many of you have asked her to be more specific about her approach, so join us for this great conversation.
Your guide: As a pioneer in the field of human systems dynamics, Glenda Eoyang applies principles of self-organizing systems to help people thrive in unpredictable environments. Since 1988, she has provided training, consulting, coaching, research, evaluation, and facilitation support in the public and private sectors. Her approach to systems thinking focuses on a lively integration of theory and practice as she helps people see and influence patterns that emerge within and around individuals, teams, organizations and communities.
Her published works include numerous scholarly and practical books and articles including Coping with Chaos: Seven Simple Tools (Lagumo, 1996) and Facilitating Organization Change: Lessons from Complexity Science with Ed Olson (Jossey-Bass/Pfeiffer, 2003). She is an associate of the Center for Evaluation, Planning, and Assessment at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada; Scientific Advisor to the Plexus Institute; member of the Circle of Scholars of The Union Institute and University; faculty member at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota; and founding Executive Director of the Human Systems Dynamics Institute.
