WHYY Wider Horizons Programs at ULiveandLearn WHYY's Wider Horizons is an information and entertainment service for everyone looking forward to or living the second half of life-those planning a new career or retirement, active elders, children of aging parents, the homebound, and everyone interested in living a satisfying life enhanced by intellectual stimulation, lifelong learning and a continuing connection to the things and places they love. ULiveandLearn has partnered with Wider Horizons since 2001 in offering live online events in support of programming initatives. The programs have included national outreach efforts with the Alzheimers Association, AARP, National Family Caregivers Association, Hospice foundation of America, including the first live webcast from the Kennedy Library in Boston. Wider Horizons Webcasts Webcasts provide a rich experience to participants through an audio stream, content and resources, and online chat.
WHYY's Wider Horizons Forum - Living with Grief: Coping with Public Tragedy WHYY's Wider Horizons Forum on April 24, 2002 featured the Hospice Foundation of America's Ninth Annual Bereavement Teleconference Living with Grief: Loss in Later Life, hosted by Cokie Roberts. The Forum examined ways that professionals can better understand and respond to the needs of older persons coping with loss and making critical end-of-life decisions.

The book explores the legal and ethical questions emerging from genetic science. McGee is a Professor of Medical Ethics and Associate Director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania.
